A ramen shop that runs 24 hours a day with nobody working in it sounds like a gimmick, right up until you’ve cooked your own bowl in one.
No staff, no queue, just vending machines. You pick a ramen flavour by number and colour, pay by card, then cook it yourself in a paper bowl using the hot water dispenser and the boiling timer. The film shows where the scissors live, how the timer works and how easy it is to buy extra snacks while you wait.
For a late-night meal in Korea it’s hard to beat.
Filmed on the same Korea trip as our no-commentary walk through Busan.
There’s more from this trip on our YouTube channel, we film the real sights and sounds, no fluff. You’ll also find us on TikTok and Instagram.
