Seoul sells souvenirs on every corner, so of course we ended up somewhere you make your own instead. This is the one thing we brought home that nobody else has.
Instead of buying a souvenir in Seoul, Inga made one: a custom luggage tag, put together by hand from scratch. It’s simple, satisfying and full of the small fiddly details that make it far too easy to watch all the way through. Best souvenir we came home with.
More things you make yourself
We went to a Korean craft fair expecting stalls of the usual and found these instead: beaded pens and pen DIY kits, every one customisable with a handmade touch. Seeing the range of design options in one place gave us far too many project ideas.
Handmade beats gift shop every time, and in Seoul it costs about the same.
More from this city in our Seoul story. There’s more from this trip on our YouTube channel, we film the real sights and sounds, no fluff. You’ll also find us on TikTok and Instagram.
