Hoi An

Hoi An by night in September 2019: a tailored ao dai, a full moon and a golden temple gate reflected perfectly in its lily pond in the old town.

Hoi An works the night shift. In September 2019 we joined it, ao dai and all: the old town glows after dark, and the temple gates get their own mirror ponds to show off in.

We had worked our way down the coast from Hanoi, and Hoi An made the strongest case yet for simply not leaving.
