Gibraltar packs a remarkable amount of Britain onto a very small rock. We visited in February 2018, and the street names set the tone before anything else could.
The Rock was a day trip that winter. Through January 2018 we were staying up the coast in Estepona, white houses stacked above the Mediterranean, with Gibraltar waiting at the end of the road.
A few weeks earlier we had been up the coast for the Christmas lights of Málaga; across the strait sits our other odd-border story, Ceuta. This stretch of map collects them.
