Seoul’s cafe scene long ago stopped being about coffee. Two of our favourites from this trip barely count as cafes at all.
This one feels more like an art experience than somewhere you drop in for a drink. Immersive design and bold installations downstairs, then unusual desserts and drinks at the top. If you’re into design and unusual spaces, it’s one of the more interesting things to do in Seoul.
The Louis Vuitton cafe in Seoul is stunning, and it feels more like an art gallery than a place to eat. Every detail is considered, from the decor to the way the desserts arrive at the table. It’s a fashion cafe rather than a coffee stop, and it’s worth an hour of any Seoul trip.
Order a coffee in either of them if you like, but that’s not really what you came for.
