The Temple of Heaven is where Beijing goes to slow down, and where emperors came for centuries to pray for good harvests. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's one short walk that explains an awful lot of the city's history.
The clip takes in the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, that famous round blue roof, and the park around it, which is the part most visitors skip and shouldn't.
Give it a morning rather than an hour. The hall is the photograph, but the park is the visit.
The Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and the rest of those three days are on the Beijing story.
