Not all the Plaza Premium lounges at HKG are the same, and this one, near Gate 1 in the East Hall, is the one to remember. It's open 24 hours, which makes it the obvious choice for an awkward overnight connection.
We went back for a proper look at what food and drink are actually on offer, how the space feels once you're in it, and whether it earns the Priority Pass swipe. Not everything about it surprised us in a good way, and we say so.
The quick version: hot food, a salad bar, drinks, shower access and even a nursing room, with room to work or eat properly before a flight, at any hour of the day or night.
If your connection lands you at HKG in the small hours, this is where to go. Nothing else on that side of the terminal is awake.
